December Happening 4 - Hatyai Trip
Hello readers! Just came back from 3 days 2 nights Hatyai Trip! Allow me to briefly summarize to you on my vacation to Hatyai...Approximately 5-6 hours bus journey but since its the weekend the whole journey could takes up to 7 hours due to massive jam...
Shopping
- One pirated Polo t-shirt for 250 baht (RM25) but you can lower it down to 180 baht if you're really good in bargaining...
- Purse, wallet and handbag made from Stingray were also one of the popular one in Hatyai...
- Cashew nuts, Pistachio nuts etc a must buy too!
- Zebra products very worth it to buy as its much cheaper compared to Malaysia...
Food
- Had a 240 baht dinner at Log Terrace Restaurant on the 1st night...The food was ok...I guess we're just paying for the cafe ambiance...Super spicy TomYam soup! Slurrpp...
- Had a 150 baht (RM15) buffet lunch at Lee Garden Hotel...Very worth the price with the varieties of food since you can no longer get that price for a buffet lunch in Kl anymore...
- Tea time snacks at Floating Market...Crispy prawn crackers, Slice potato, Fish snacks etc...20 baht (RM2) for each! Fried Chicken Drumstick for 40 baht (RM4) can be found everywhere...
- 2nd night dinner at Mcd! Tried their Samurai Pork Burger and Big Mac...Their beef patties tasted so nice and tender...In Hatyai, pork and beef go 1st than chicken...Ordered medium set that comes with a large size portion...Haha...No Rm5.95 set anyway...
Attraction & Scenery
- Hmm..Nothing much on this as its mostly temples...
- Went up all the way to the hill to catch a glimpse of the "Stainless Steel Pagoda"
Transportation
- Very convenient "tuk tuk" car to drive you all around the town...Will only cost up the most 20 baht (RM2) per head...I managed to bargain it to 15 baht (RM1.50) anyway
Weather
- It was drizzling through out the 3 days but I don't really feel the heat nor stuffy as compared to Malaysia or Singapore...Very cooling indeed...
Accommodation
- Green View Hotel...Walking distance to the morning market and "tuk tuk" car can be seen around...
- Maybe I was too tired and so, I had a good sleep on both nights...Ample of parking spaces too...
It was super jam on the way back to KL...Reached home around 12.30am...Read on the newspaper on the next day of another bus tragedy that killed 20 over Thai's at Simpang Pulai, Cameron Highland...Haiz...Thank God my family and I managed to reach home safely...

December Happening 3 - Taiping Mali @ Bandar Puteri Puchong
Dad spent us lunch at Taiping Mali today...Hmm...My overall review was ok...Nothing to shout about...The Nasi Lemak sambal was not too bad but the fried chicken was way too small! Haha...Its like "burung puyuh" size only...I would say that even market or pasar malam's nasi kunyit will be nicer than this...My sis waited for like 15 minutes for a simple nasi lemak too...Poor services...My only recommendation would be the Chee Cheong Fun...
Cafe Ambiance - ☆☆☆☆
Food - ☆☆☆
Service - ☆☆☆
Cleanliness - ☆☆☆☆
In comparison to this, I recommend "Ipoh Mali" @ New Sunway Mentari...They offer similiar food as Taiping Mali and my favourites will definitely be Chee Cheong Fun, Yam Cake and their Milk Tea...Super nice!

December Happening 2 - BreakOut (破天网)
Breakout aka "破天网" debuts on Channel 8 on 6th Dec 2010...I wanted to watch this blockbuster series so badly but discovered that its such an uphill task searching for SG's dramas online...Thus, I turn over to Tudou, Yukou etc but no upload from any kind souls out there yet...*sigh*
I don't fancy Jeanette Aw being the lead actress but I don't mind giving it a try as this series has been highly promoted by Mediacorp...It will be great to see Christopher Lee's comeback, Kola Zhou 1st lead female role, Elvin Ng as an autism and cool hunk Dai Yang Tian's 1st baddie role...Gou Liang, Darren Lim and Pan Ling Ling co-star...
Nice Theme Song by Jeff Zhang...

December Happening 1 - TVB 2010 Anniversary Award
It was a pretty predictable result show last night...Both Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang grabbed The Best Actor & Best Actress award for the 2nd consecutive times for the series "No Regrets" and I would say that they totally deserved it...
As for my Charmaine, a big applaud to her for her win in Favourite Female Character category...Princess Chiu Yeung's character was a cute and naughty one...After securing Popularity Award (he won the same award last edition), Raymond Lam grabbed another bonus one in Favourite Male Character category...Honestly speaking, I don't really think his character as Kingsley deserve this award and bare in mind I am a fans of him but it just that I feel that its time for others...Maybe Kenneth Ma?? He portrayed a very good character in "Fistful of Stances"..But, well this is TVB! Haha...Opps! I voted for Ray in this category! Muahaha...
No comment on Fala Chen as she acted so so only as Ching Ching...But, it was Evergreen Mak that steal the limelight for winning Best Supporting Actor...Everyone was so supportive and happy for his win...The competition was kinda of obvious...It will be either "Leong Fei Fan" or "Pai Guat"...Pierre Ngo did a great job too hence I guess it was a close one...
Raymond Wong and Natalie Tong grabbed Most Improved Actor & Actress...It will be a breakthrough 2011 year for Raymond Wong...I voted for King Kong anyway...Haha...Super Trio Supreme finally lost his domination after so many years losing to "The Voice 2" and The Best Host to "Liza and Gods aka Fuk Lok Sao"...
Last but not least! The Best Series of the year goes to "Can't Buy Me Love"!!! It was Charmaine's wish! Congrats! The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Louisa Lee (Hor Ma)...

My only disappointment
TVB totally abandoned and kick "A Fistful of Stances" away...Not even a Best Series Top 5 nomination?? How Come?! You filled in "Every Move You Make" in Top 5?? *sigh*...It was such a good series...Its the only series that could give No Regrets and Can't Buy Me Love a fight for Best Series...What to do? AFOS aired beginning of the year and that's TVB...
